F. Scott Fitzgerald
Fitzgerald was a renowned American novelist. He began his writing career in 1920, achieving instant fame with This Side of Paradise. His novels vividly reflect the disillusionment of the 'American Dream' in the 1920s and portray the spiritual state of the upper class during the 'Wasteland Era' of the Great Depression. Until his death in 1940, he was working on The Last Tycoon. Within his limited creative life, he produced several major novels, including This Side of Paradise, The Great Gatsby, and Tender Is the Night, as well as more than 150 short stories.
