The Time Machine
The Time Machine is a science fiction novel by the famous British author H.G. Wells, first published in 1895. This book is also Wells's first science fiction work.
Some critics regard the publication of this novel as marking "the birth year of science fiction."
The story describes a scientist who uses a time-travel machine to journey to the year 802,701 AD. By then, Earth is filled with palace-like structures, and humanity has evolved into two distinct species: the Eloi and the Morlocks. The author portrays the elegant aristocrats as livestock raised by the Morlocks, who even consume them as food, presenting a grim vision of human degeneration.
